BROOKFIELD ANNUAL TOWN ELECTION
MONDAY MAY 6, 2024
7 A.M. to 7 P.M.


As of Monday February 5th, Nomination papers for the Brookfield Annual Town Election will be available at the Town Clerk’s Office. The following offices and terms are open to candidates:

• Moderator-1 Year Term
• Select Board-3 Year Term
• Assessor-3 Year Term
• Constable-2- 1 Year Terms
• Planning Board 5 Year Term
• Elementary School Committee-3 Year Term
• Tantasqua Regional School Committee-3 Year Term
• Water Commissioner-3 Year Term
• Board of Health-3 Year Term
• Trustee For Merrick Public Library- 2 - 3 Year Terms
• Trustee For Merrick Public Library-1-1 Year Term
• Trustee For Merrick Public Library-1-2 Year Term
• Cemetery Commissioner-3 Year Term

EVENT DEADLINE OR DATE REQUIRED

  • Nomination papers are available Monday, February 5, 2024
  • Last day to obtain and return nomination papers-Monday, March 18, 2024- 5:00 P.M (49 days before election).
  • Last day for registrars to certify Nomination Papers-Monday April 1, 2024- 5:00 P.M. (35 Days before election)
  • Last day for candidates to withdraw: Monday, April 1, 2024–5:00 P.M.  (Letter to the Town Clerk)
