Recommended Vaccines for Adults

  • Influenza (Flu) Vaccine: Recommended annually for all adults.
  • COVID-19 Vaccine: Recommended for all eligible individuals to protect against COVID-19.
  • Tetanus, Diphtheria, and Pertussis (Tdap) Vaccine: Recommended every 10 years, with a one-time dose of Tdap for adults who have not previously received it.
  • Shingles Vaccine: Recommended for adults age 50 and older.
  • Pneumococcal Vaccine: Recommended for adults age 65 and older, and for adults with certain health conditions.

Recommended Vaccines for Children and Adolescents

  • Measles, Mumps, and Rubella (MMR) Vaccine: Typically given in two doses, with the first dose at 12-15 months and the second dose at 4-6 years.
  • Varicella (Chickenpox) Vaccine: Typically given in two doses, with the first dose at 12-15 months and the second dose at 4-6 years.
  • Human Papillomavirus (HPV) Vaccine: Recommended for adolescents at age 11 or 12, but can be given as early as age 9.
  • Meningococcal Vaccine: Recommended for adolescents at age 11 or 12, with a booster dose at age 16.

  • Healthcare Providers: Your primary care provider can administer vaccines and provide guidance on which vaccines are right for you.
  • Community Health Clinics: Local health clinics often offer vaccines at reduced or no cost for eligible individuals.
