The Brookfield Merrick Public Library offers "curbside" pick-up as well as in-library browsing. Both of these services are offered by appointment ONLY.

Patrons may request library materials in a number of ways:

  • Online: Log into your C/WMARS account ( to order materials through the C/WMARS system. You can also use the C/W Mars app to do this. 

"Curbside" Pick-Up: Scheduled pick-up times will be Tuesday & Thursday from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. and Wednesday & Friday from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. Apointment are scheduled in 15-minute increments. When your items are ready for pick-up we will call or email you to schedule a time and day. Materials will be picked up in the library foyer, just inside the front door. The door to the foyer will be closed but unlocked during pick-up times. On the day of your pick-up, the items will be checked out to you, put in a bag with your last name on it, and placed on the table in the foyer. Please wear a face mask and practice social distancing if other people are also picking up. Only one person or family will be permitted in the foyer at a time.

In-Library Browsing:  Scheduled browsing times will be during the same hours - Tuesday & Thursday from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. and Wednesday & Friday from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. Appointments are scheduled in 30-minute increments (20 minutes for patron browsing and 10 minutes for staff to prepare for the next appointment). Please call or email the library to set up an in-library appointment for browsing; your scheduled time may also be used for computer time, copying, faxing, and printing. A face mask and social distancing practices will be required for the entirety of your appointment, and we ask that you use hand sanitizer (provided by the library) before touching anything inside the library. Only one person or family will be permitted to enter the library per scheduled appointment. 

Returns: You may return items to the library. Please use the outside book drop, which is the green mailbox labeled "Library Book Return." If the book drop is full, there is also a box under the "curbside" pick-up table in the foyer where returns can be placed. Returned materials will be quarantined for 24 hours, then cleaned and checked in, per MBLC guidelines. 

The library will be closed Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
