Brookfield Community Access (TV)

Welcome to Brookfield Community Access (BCA) — Your Voice | Your Town | Your Community! The mission of BCA is to engage, empower, & enrich Brookfield through multimedia. The focus of recent BCA projects is to update and improve the town’s ability to experience live video feeds and recordings of town meetings. We also aim to increase public participation and enable greater transparency in democracy.

We are highly dedicated to constantly improving. Please check this page for the latest updates.

Our recent projects include, but are not limited to:

  • Restored our broadcast capabilities after nearly five years off the air!
  • Updated internet infrastructure and negotiated significant cost savings to allow for more residents to attend town meetings virtually and with higher quality experiences.
  • Added high speed guest wireless internet (Wi-Fi) at the town hall to enable more people to access the internet safely and securely while in the building.
  • Updated very old recording infrastructure so that all town meetings are able to be recorded and broadcast in high fidelity.
  • Added a new meeting option where residents may attend and participate in meetings virtually.
  • Implemented a mobile video conference device to enable virtual meeting attendance and simultaneously save the town on legal fees and remote training fees as travel costs are no longer necessary with remote attendance.
  • Inventoried and recycled years of outdated equipment, allowing our elementary school to reclaim valuable space in their building and expand their thriving music program!

We are constantly seeking feedback from the community to improve and our Community Media Coordinator loves to hear from YOU!
