The Water Department no longer sells Bulk Swimming Pool Truck Water

In order to protect our water supply and water quality, the Water Commissioners ended bulk swimming pool water truck sales beginning Aug 2022. This is a result of decreased production of our main water source. It will drastically reduce the summertime demand on our main well, and ensure long term sustainability for our water supply.

The pool water truck sales were a great source of revenue. Unfortunately, the available water from our main source has decreased. Reducing our demand will ensure our water source and our water quality, not only today, but the future as well.

The rates above reflect a necessary increase in order to cover Water Department expenses without pool water truck sales.

Other Fees

Although the Water Department is part of the town, it generates it's budget through water bills, not taxes. The annual budget, maintenance and capitol improvements are all funded through water bills. All money collected by the water department is retained by the water department. Money collected above the annual operating budget is used to fund capitol projects such as: water tank maintenance, well and pump maintenance, building maintenance, pipe line repairs and replacement.
