PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
TOWN OF BROOKFIELD

In accordance with M.G.L. Chapter 40, Section 15C and Chapter 87, Section 3 of M.G.L., a Public Hearing will be held at 7 p.m., on Thursday, April 2, 2026 at Town Hall 6 Central St, Brookfield, MA. Anyone wishing to comment may do so at this time. The Select Board, acting as Tree Warden, has posted the following tree be removed:

On 18 Common Street, a Norway Maple tree located between the Merrick Public Library and the Library Annex. Removing the tree would make it possible to install a 16’ x 16’ parking area to provide ADA-accessible parking for the Wood Room/Meeting Room and Barn program space. Without this improvement, ADA-accessible parking at 18 Common
Street would not be feasible.

This notice is also posted on the Town Website; the Brookfield Town Clerk’s Office, 6 Central Street, Brookfield, MA; the Brookfield Post Office on Route 9; and a local newspaper.
