Water Department

The Brookfield Water Department is committed to providing you with clean potable drinking water.

If you have any questions, concerns or require water related assistance, please call the water dept at 508-867-2930 ext 17.

The quality of your drinking water is very important. Please notify the Brookfield Water Department at 508-867-2930 Ext 17 regarding any water quality questions or concerns

Water Commission meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month at 11am in the Town Hall, unless otherwise posted.

The Brookfield Water System does not have pipes containing lead.

The Brookfield Water Department does not add fluoride to our water.

The Green St Improvement Project was completed in June 2024 on time and under budget!

This project is being funded be a Community Development Block Grant.

Phase 1. Late Summer 2023 COMPLETE

Replace/ upgrade water main and fire hydrants. Replace all water service connections.

Phase 2. Fall 2023 COMPLETE

Repair/ replace/ upgrade surface water drainage. This encompasses all of Green St and the low point on Grove St.

Phase 3. Fall 2023/ Spring 2024 COMPLETE

Road paving and curbing. This also includes all of Green St and the low point on Grove St.

Kimball St. Improvement project

This project is being funded by a Community Development Block Grant.

Brookfield has been awarded a grant to improve Kimball St. The project will include fire hydrant replacements, drainage improvements, road and sidewalk paving. Construction to begin early 2025.

Cemetery Water Line replacement project was completed in July 2024 on time and under budget!

All water lines in the Brookfield cemetery are being replace this summer, 2024. All lines will conform to AWWA drinking water standards. The work will be done mostly in house with traditional trenching. Directional drilling will be used in more sensitive/ scenic areas to minimize damage. Thank you for the support and cooperation as we work to improve the cemetery.
