Fraudulent Website Activity Alert

The Commonwealth Fusion Center’s (CFC) Massachusetts Cybersecurity Program (MCP) has observed a recent increase in the registration of typosquatted (look-alike) domains that impersonate legitimate websites of healthcare entities in the Commonwealth. Also known as URL hijacking, typosquatting is designed to trick users who mistype a URL into visiting a fraudulent site in the hopes they will reveal personal or sensitive information.

Please see the attached Healthcare Typosquatting flyer for more information.

Please report any suspicious activity to the Brookfield Police Department at (508) 867-5570 and the Commonwealth Fusion Center at (508) 820-2233.
