The Town of Brookfield is seeking a dedicated and community-minded individual to serve on the Board of Assessors. This position plays a vital role in the fair and equitable assessment of real and personal property within the municipality, ensuring accuracy in property valuation and contributing to the integrity of the local tax system. Ideal candidates should have an interest in public service, a basic understanding of property assessment practices, and a commitment to impartiality and confidentiality. Experience in real estate, finance, or municipal operations is helpful but not required. This is an elected position, and the candidate would be filling the remaining term of a resigning member through May 2026, when they would be required to run in the annual Town elections.
