OPEN MEETING: Meeting called to order for Wednesday, September 2, 2026 at (6:00) p.m.
Review, edit, approve minutes from Wednesday, June 3, 2026.
Motion to approve the minutes made by, 2nd by , all voted in favor.
Motion to ratify vouchers submitted for payment by SB, 2nd by RM voted in favor:
Library Payroll vouchers for FY27, WK 1 thru WK 5, (8/27/2026).
Book vouchers for FY27, WK 1 thru WK 5, (8/27/2026).
Expense vouchers for FY27, WK 1 thru WK 5, (8/27/2026)
Utilities and expense vouchers for 18 Common Street for FY27, WK 1 thru WK 5, (8/27/2026).
III. Verizon telephone and fax service has given notice they will no longer provide service to the businesses in the town of Brookfield. I have 3 estimates, including Anevry, Jacob to complete our transition for phone and fax lines.
IV. All members of the staff now have museum hours and are learning and entering in PastPerfect our Museum software to enter the collection of material located at 18 Common Street.
Brenda will report progress on 18 Common Street.
Flooring from Caron’s is installed and complete, Josh Dada, Spencer, will blow in cellulose insulation within the next 2weeks for the Barn. (Tues.Sept. 8, 2026)
Advanced Energy will install baseboard, natural gas heat for the Barn by October. Inserts for the barn windows will be ordered soon also.
Our second hire for staff is Kim Kvarcarian who will start October 15 as the 2nd Senior Library Assistant.
Hedda’s contract will be available for signing at the October meeting.
