TO: All Town Residents
FROM: BROOKFIELD BOARD OF HEALTH Member George Hirtle
Brookfield Town Buildings Closed to Public
Brookfield, MA June 9, 2020
This is an update to the June 1st note. I am in the process of receiving input from each town department as to their concerns and plans. So far, the access via phone or email is working very well for the departments that have responded.
The safety of our Town Hall staff is of utmost importance and their concerns need to be considered.
We are still in the middle of the Coronavirus. Just choosing a date is not necessarily an answer right now.
As I receive feedback from all departments, I will bring the results to the Board of Health and we will then discuss together a next step. An opening date of the Town Hall is yet to be determined.
To clarify the previous June note, there is no date in mind.
One responder mentioned that a meeting with a citizen outside of the building, if necessary, would be fine, face masks and social distancing required. This is a reasonable idea in the meantime for any town employee that has a client that needs a face to face meeting.
