In order to safeguard the Town of Brookfield's water supply, the Water Commissioners voted to suspend water hauling beginning Friday, July 29th at 5 P.M. There is no current concern with the Town water supply levels. This is a precaution to protect the water supply should the drought continue or intensify.

The Commonwealth has raised the area of Worcester County to a drought level 3 status.  We ask that all residents of Brookfield be cognizant of water use regardless of the source of your water, town or private well, to help ensure adequate supply for all residents of Brookfield.

Water conservation measures will aid in the reduction of water use and safeguard water for essential needs, such as drinking water, fire protection services, habitat recovery and environmental needs, and sustained water supplies.
