EVENT AND POSTINGS HAVE BEEN UPDATED TO REFLECT CHANGE IN EVENT TIME. \n\n\nNotice of Upcoming Brookfield Town Center Study Site Visits\n\nThe Town of Brookfield and the Central Massachusetts Regional Planning Commission (CMRPC) are conducting the Brookfield Town Center Study. The study will identify ways to support the town center’s businesses\, public spaces\, accessibility\, walkability\, and historic character.\n\nAs part of this work\, CMRPC staff will conduct two related site visits:\n\n\n\nGuided walking tour: Tuesday\, September 22\, 2026\, at noon:** CMRPC staff and town representatives will walk through the town center to discuss local conditions\, important sites\, and connections between Central Street\, the Town Common\, Prouty Street\, and Lewis Field.\n\n\n\n\n\nDetailed site assessment: anticipated Tuesday\, September 29\, 2026:** CMRPC staff will observe building exteriors and public spaces\, take ground-level photographs\, and may collect drone imagery. Wednesday\, September 30\, may be used as a weather or scheduling backup date.\n\n\n\nThe site assessment will be conducted from public streets\, sidewalks\, and other publicly accessible areas. No interior inspections or entry onto private property are planned.\n\nThis work is part of a planning study\, not a code-enforcement or building-inspection activity.
