January 2012 Update
The Selectmen have appointed the Brownfield Steering Committee to oversee the maximum grant $200,000 received from the DEP to “cap” the Brownfield site on Mill Street. The site is located across the road from the Highway Garage. The plan is for a small park (Mill-Station Park) with picnic tables and benches and some parking. This will be a simple park designed for easy maintenance. The Town is contributing up to $40,000 in in-kind services for this project which is scheduled for completion by June 1, 2012. A public meeting was held recently followed by a 30-day time period whereby we accepted comments and suggestions. Many if not all of those suggestions received were incorporated into the final project.
The following schedule was agreed upon by the committee who is working with engineering company, Fuss & O’Neill (F&O).
Note that attendance at the pre-bid meeting is mandatory for all who intend to bid.
(All dates below are 2012.)
Wednesday, February 1 – our advertisement to be in the Central Register; bid specifications available on the Town’s website (or from F&O by request only).
